Sovereign of the Seas

There are for the moment four different campaigns in the base game. The first of them are the battles against the pirates, which concludes in a final battle against Henry Morgan for your survival and for the Caribbean. Along the way you will capture over 10 different pirate bases that you can develop and use.

The second campaign is similar to the first and starts right after you finish the previous campaign. However, instead of pirates, you fight against the West Indian Company for the piracy survival and for the Caribbean in a series of 3 epic battles.

The third campaign is relatively recent in the game, and it's different from the two previous campaigns. Entitled "Jewel of the Caribbean," This story starts with Lady Tarrot, a friend of yours, which asks you to do several missions for her (sinking, capturing, escort and smuggling missions). In the course of the story, you meet with important characters, such as Captain Bloode and Angela, that also will ask you to do several missions for them. In the end, you will be forced to choose a side between these three characters.

[SPOILER]

In the end of the third campaign, you will be able to make a choice between Lady Tarrot (peaceful end with Europe), Captain Bloode (War against Europe) and Angela (Hero in the Caribbean). Any of these three choices will reward you with a government port of your choice to be your new base.

The fourth campaign is the newest yet. (Patch 9.0) Entitled "A Siren's Chilling Melody." This campaign picks up directly from where "Jewel of the Caribbean" ends. It begins when you receive a message from a character you have previously met from the previous campaign, Grimy Bob. To unlock this campaign you must first purchase both maps of Brazil. He tells you of King Phillip III, the newly crowned Portuguese king, whom has been wreaking havoc upon the people of Brazil. Grimy Bob gives you a mission to put an end to Phillip's Tyranny, in a campaign that is both satisfying and rewarding. Along the way, you meet Anne Bonny, a "potential lover." The campaign ends in a glorious battle for the port of Rio De Janeiro, after which, if you are victorious, get the opportunity to capture a rare premium vessel.

[SPOILER]

The ship you can capture is none other than HMS Sovereign of the Seas, the fastest first rate in the game. After this, you tie up some loose ends, specifically with Anne. She chooses to stay in Brazil, and leaves you to continue to be a pirate. After all, by this stage of the game, its ingrained in you. You never see her again, giving a chilling ending to the best campaign yet.

The campaign can be repeated through the settings to obtain a second Sovereigns of the Seas.
